Internships

Education and professional development is an integral part of the KTV mission. To that end, we are currently offering unpaid, collegiate internships. These internships are ideal for area college students looking to earn credit while building work experience in an exciting studio atmosphere.

Duration: 4 months
Hours: Flexible scheduling a must, hours dependent on credit earned

Job Description
This internship is designed to give film and broadcast students practical, hands-on experience with video
production. The intern will assist with the production of television programs, event coverage, and studio productions for KTV. This internship is an excellent opportunity to improve video production skills and learn about the workflow of a television network. The position requires flexible scheduling as required by the KTV production schedule.

Principal Responsibilities
• Work with KTV staff and community members to produce KTV programs
• Operate KTV cameras, audio, and lighting equipment during in-studio and field productions
• Edit video productions in Final Cut Software
• Assist with file uploads and other miscellaneous tasks within the Tightrope Media System, as needed

Qualifications:
• Some experience with video production, including camera, audio, lighting
• Some editing with Final Cut Software
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a professional demeanor
• Strong organization skills

Job Description
This internship is designed to give students practical, hands-on experience with graphic design for print, web, and motion media. The primary focus will be on the design of KTV branded materials and show packages. This internship is an excellent opportunity to improve motion graphics skills, learn about the workflow of a television network, and develop a reel of motion graphics.

Qualifications:
• Ability to create intelligent and innovative design solutions for print, web, and motion
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign/After Effects
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a professional demeanor
• Strong organization skills
